Acceptable Use Policy
This policy sets out what you may not do with ITPS CRM. It forms part of the Terms of Service, and breaking it is grounds for suspending an account.
Most of it comes down to one idea: the CRM can send email, text messages and phone calls in your name, and what you send is your responsibility.
Messaging and calling
You must not use the service to:
- send unsolicited bulk email or text messages
- send marketing to anyone who has not consented, where consent is required
- ignore an opt-out, a STOP reply, or a do-not-call registration
- hide or falsify who a message or call is from, including caller ID spoofing
- make automated or pre-recorded calls where they are restricted
- record a call where the law requires the consent of a party who has not given it
Recording rules differ between states and countries. Some require every party to consent. The CRM records when you tell it to; deciding whether that is lawful where you and the other party are is your job, not ours.
Content
You must not store, send or publish anything that is:
- unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or that incites violence
- sexual content involving minors, in any form
- infringing of somebody else's copyright or trade marks
- malware, or a link intended to deliver it
- designed to deceive somebody into giving up credentials or money
Data
You must not:
- upload personal data you have no right to hold
- upload payment card numbers, government identification numbers, or health records โ this is not a system built to hold them
- scrape or harvest contact details and load them in as if they were your customers
- use the service to build a marketing list you then sell
The platform itself
You must not:
- probe, scan or test the security of the service without our written permission
- get around rate limits, seat limits or plan limits
- share one login between several people
- use automated means to extract data beyond the export tools we provide
- resell access, or run the service on behalf of somebody else, unless we have agreed in writing
Reporting a problem
If you believe someone is using ITPS CRM in breach of this policy, tell us at legal@it-ps.net with enough detail to investigate.
What we do about breaches
Depending on what has happened we may contact you, ask you to stop, remove content, suspend a feature, suspend the workspace, or close the account. Where a breach is serious or ongoing we may act first and explain afterwards. Where the law requires us to report something, we will.
